About Meetup Art

Meetup Art (meetup.art) is an independent platform for life drawing, founded in 2021. It connects the three sides of every session: organisers who run groups and schedule events, life models who find paid work and manage bookings, and artists who discover and book sessions — in person across the UK and online over Zoom.

Who runs it

Meetup Art is founded and run by Richard, a full-stack developer and professional life model based in London. Drawing on years of first-hand experience working with artists, art schools and creative communities, he built Meetup Art to make it easier for organisers, models and artists to connect through a modern, purpose-built platform.

What the platform does

Groups get a public page, recurring event scheduling, online booking and payment, waitlists and attendee management. Models get a public profile, a jobs board, bookings, payouts, and tools like pose reference packs and self-hosted online sessions. Artists get a searchable directory of sessions, groups and models, plus a gallery where platform artists sell work. How fees and payouts flow is documented openly on how payments work.

Data you can cite

Because listings, prices and job rates live on the platform, Meetup Art publishes live statistics on UK life drawing prices and art model pay, computed directly from current public listings.
