How we compare
Most event platforms stack hefty per-ticket fees on top of a subscription. On any paid Meetup Art plan you pay just a low 2% per ticket (minimum 20p / $0.25 / €0.25 to cover card-processing costs). The Free plan lets you host unlimited Zoom events and sell tickets with a 10% per-ticket fee. Studio at £11.95/month is roughly a quarter of Meetup Standard with more features.

What payment methods do you accept?
Subscriptions are paid by card through Stripe. Tickets can be paid by card via Stripe, Mollie, or PayPal, depending on the organiser’s payout rail.
Is there a per-ticket fee?
Paid plans (Model Pro, Studio and Institution) pay a low 2% per-ticket fee, with a minimum of 20p / $0.25 / €0.25 per transaction to cover card-processing costs. The Free plan keeps a 10% platform fee on each ticket sold (same minimum per transaction). The fee is deducted automatically before your payout.
Can I host a completely free Zoom event?
Yes. Any plan including Free can list £0 events in every format — Zoom, in-person, and hybrid. There is no minimum ticket price.
Can I host in-person events on the Free plan?
Yes. Any plan including Free can list £0 events in every format, including in-person and hybrid. There is no minimum ticket price.
Free trial — what's the catch?
None. New organisers get one month of Studio for free at signup, no card needed. After 30 days the account drops to the free tier unless you subscribe. Trial is once per account.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings — you keep tier features until the end of the current billing period and won't be charged again. See our refund & cancellation policy for the full terms, including the 14-day cooling-off window for first-time subscriptions.
What happens to my events if I downgrade or cancel?
Nothing is deleted. Existing events, group, posts, images and messages stay on your account. You just lose the ability to perform new tier-gated actions until you renew or upgrade.
What is the Lifetime Deal?
A one-off £299 payment for permanent Studio-tier access, limited to the first 25 organisers. No recurring charges, ever. See the LTD page for details.
Can I sell my artwork on Meetup Art?
Yes. All Model Pro, Studio, and Institution subscribers get access to the Artist Shop — upload unlimited pieces, accept offers, and optionally take online payment via Stripe, Mollie, or PayPal depending on the seller’s payout rail. Each artist gets a public gallery at /gallery/{your-handle} plus listing in the global /gallery feed.
If I connect my calendar, can organisers see my events?
No. Meetup Art only reads busy/free time from Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Apple iCloud, or an ICS feed you subscribe to. Event titles, descriptions and guests never leave your other calendars, and other members never see why a slot is busy. If you opt in to booking matching, we read titles only from the Meetup Art Bookings calendar we create — not from your primary diary. Organisers still never see that calendar.
When you add new features, how do I know what's included?
Every user-facing capability is tied to Free, Model Pro, Studio, or Institution (or Studio trial / Lifetime Studio where those apply). When we ship something new, we assign it to one or more tiers and update this page so each plan’s feature list stays accurate.
