James Bliss

I’m a mature male model based in Essex, within easy reach of London, with previous experience in life and artistic modelling. I originally worked as a life model in my 20s and, after many years away from it, have recently returned to artistic modelling. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed the creative process, and my recent experience has made me keen to take on more work with artists, photographers and creative groups. I’m confident and completely comfortable with artistic nudity and have a relaxed, professional approach. I’m happy with everything from quick gestural poses through to longer sustained poses and enjoy working with the artist to create interesting shapes, expressions and compositions. Being a mature model gives me something quite different to offer now compared with when I modelled in my 20s. I’m comfortable with my body and interested in work that celebrates maturity, character, individuality and the human form as it really is. I also have tattoos, which can add another visual dimension to contemporary artwork and photography. I’m friendly, reliable, punctual and easy to work with. I take direction well and am equally happy to contribute ideas when an artist or photographer wants a more collaborative approach. I’m interested in life drawing, painting, sculpture, fine-art photography and other creative modelling projects across Essex and London. After returning to modelling recently, I’m really enjoying this new chapter and would love to work with a wide variety of artists and explore some interesting and imaginative projects.
