Introducing students to the fundamentals of oil painting leading to advanced techniques. Subjects of landscape, still life, portraiture and Old Masters' studies will be introduced if wished, as well as development of personal projects. Techniques include imprimatura, underpainting for values and tones, alla prima, layering, impasto or scumbling, and sfumato for soft blending. Individual guidance from the tutor throughout. Suitable for all levels.
